The Opportunity We're seeking a talented and driven Project Finance Associate to join one of our esteemed clients, a leading law firm specializing in corporate legal services. In this role, you'll work with a dynamic team to support energy project development and finance initiatives, with a focus on distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to impactful work in a growing and innovative sector. What You'll Do Lead and Execute : Manage US-based project development and financing for renewable energy projects. Draft and Negotiate : Work with principal financing documentation, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, security and pledge agreements, and depositary agreements. Ensure Diligence : Oversee due diligence related to key commercial project documentation such as development agreements, PPAs, EPCs, site control, and interconnection agreements. Collaborate Effectively : Partner with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. What You Bring to the Table Education : JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school. Bar Admission : Admitted or eligible for admission in MA, DC, NY, or CA . Experience : At least 4 years of project finance experience at a law firm, with expertise in renewable energy projects. Skills : Proficiency in handling project financing documentation and commercial agreements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organization and attention to detail. Professionalism in client interactions. Team-Oriented : Ability to collaborate effectively and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your Skillset Project Finance Expertise : Deep understanding of financing structures and renewable energy project development. Contract Proficiency : Experience drafting and negotiating key agreements related to energy projects. Strategic Thinking : Ability to provide thoughtful counsel to clients in high-stakes transactions. What's in It for You? Competitive salary ranging from $310,000 to $365,000 , with bonus eligibility.
